Our Portfolio

The backyard of an Eichler designed home in the Diamond Heights neighborhood of San Francisco. Taming the transition zone between a concrete patio and steep hillside to give a family of four access to a raised garden bed and small deck for yoga and lounging. Non-native plants removed and replanted with natives.

Before and After

A steep West facing backyard in the Potrero Hill neighborhood of San Francisco, overrun with invasive fennel and blackberry, transformed into four tiered useable areas with new fence. Native grasses mixed with perennials work to soften edges.

Before and After

An extremely steep west facing backyard in the Diamond Heights neighborhood of San Francisco with no access aside from a small cramped stairwell door. A staircase was built providing an outdoor entrance to the backyard from an existing balcony. Retaining walls and angled stairs with decomposed granite direct visitors to level ground with stone pavers and ultimately to a redwood deck and sitting area.

Before and After

A vacant space at the side of this Saratoga home is transformed into a spacious patio area of decomposed granite and stone pavers, framed with river rock. Hardwood planter boxes and corner bench complete the look. Planting to continue this coming Fall.
